webcam problem

I cant seem to get my webcam to work.

here's dmesg |tail

usb 2-3: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 5
usb 2-3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usb 2-3: SN9C120 PC Camera Controller detected (vid:pid 0x0C45:0x613C)
usb 2-3: HV7131R image sensor detected
usb 2-3: Initialization succeeded
usb 2-3: V4L2 device registered as /dev/video0
usb 2-3: Optional device control through 'sysfs' interface disabled

if I try to use the cam in cheese i get nothing.. I found sonic-snap is supposed to work with the sn9c102 cams
when I run it it returns

Cannot open '/dev/video0': 28, No space left on device

then if I run dmesg |tail again

usb 2-3: SN9C120 PC Camera Controller detected (vid:pid 0x0C45:0x613C)
usb 2-3: HV7131R image sensor detected
usb 2-3: Initialization succeeded
usb 2-3: V4L2 device registered as /dev/video0
