Subversion 1.5.2 Released!

Hey everyone,

Subversion 1.5.2 was recently released and there is still no official update to the subversion package in the 'extra' repository. I've upgraded this package myself and I find that it is a less-than-5-minute job. Simply upgrade the version number, run makepkg, and it downloads the newest tarball and all you're really waiting on is the compile to finish.

I imagine the Archlinux developers must be swamped with work right now, so I do apologize for pushing the issue. I just want to keep throwing reminders out there, since at this point the Subversion package is horridly out of date. I'm looking forward to the subversion package being updated soon!

Believe me, when some package have not been upgraded most of the time is for a good reason. And no, throwing reminders is not the best way to get us to do something. If you want to do something similar, e-mail the maintainer of the package, let him know you have upgraded it, it has no problems, you tested it extensively and that if he could be so kindly as to upgrade the package you will appreciate it.

Now that is the way things work. We are so busy sometimes that not even 5 min packages are possible.

Again I do apologize for pushing about this. I'm still fairly new to the Archlinux community and I'm trying to figure out how things work. I'm glad that you've informed me. I'll continue to be patient!
