/boot/grub/menu.lst .pacnew

I've used "meld" (gnome) to edit a couple of new updates. Namely /etc/pacman.conf and /mirrorlist with success.
But I'm not certain about the /boot/grub/menu.lst.pacnew.
Should I leave it alone? I have uuid's in my original fstab which grub is booting from. The grub pacnew file does not.
Also I have NoUpgrade = boot/grub/menu.lst in my pacman.conf
I have to admit I'm not getting the big picture with handling these kind of updates.
Need advice please
cheers

Re: /boot/grub/menu.lst .pacnew

Maybe this will help:  http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacnew.  Some of the logic behind it can be found in the pacman man page, in the section "HANDLING CONFIG FILES".

meld sounds cool.  I'll have to try it.
