Is Compro DVB T300 an option in Archlinux/Freevo? [SOLVED]

Hello there people,
I am a relative newbie to linux having been frustrated by various mythtv distributions.
I like the sound of Archlinux, and have read good things about Freevo as a TV program for linux.
I have a Compro T300 DVB card and was wondering if anyone has had success using this card in Archlinux?

I am aiming to build a HTPC case for the lounge, and already have lc17 case and all other necessary hardware which works in all other linux variants.
Should I be looking to buy a card that works out of the box, or is there a way to get it working in Archlinux.

Cheers. LarryBari

If you want to know about the support status of your card you're better off asking Google or the Linux dvb mailing lists.
But in general Arch should be a nice choice, as it's fast with kernel updates, and that's the most important thing for hardware support.

Ok thanks,
So far Arch is installed and when i get a mo, i will have a play and install X etc.
Yes, I have searched google in the past regarding this tv card and linux.
Arch seems like a good choice as i can build the system from the ground up.
I will get on to the mailing list as i feel this card has been neglected slightly by the linux crowd.

OKay as of my recent netinstall x86_64 build it is supported in the kernel and no modprobing ... YAY!
I even have the remote working using lirc which is another thing entirely in Arch...
