KNetworkManager

So ... with the avalanche of updates, KNetworkManager is gone.   It's in AUR, but none of the ones in AUR actually build.

Has anybody found a solution for this yet?

knetworkmanager, and network manager in general, has always been pretty crappy. ive never been able to connect to hidden essids with it (ie GTwireless). might i suggest archassistant?

I will stick with the working knetworkmanager I have on my machines.   It does what I need it to with bullet proof reliability.    I'll suggest archassistant to the person who I was helping install Arch.

Either way -- elimination of choice is not "The Arch Way".

Re: KNetworkManager

KDE4 doesn't have Knetworkmanager. Instead Solid Interfaces with NetworkManager and there will be a GUI for that. Unfortunately, none of is it done yet. You may want to add the kdemod kde 3.5 Repos. Those might have the old Knetworkmanager

Re: KNetworkManager

Yea.  It's dirty, but for awhile you could install knetworkmanager (for kde 3.5.x) and it would pull in kdelibs3 and other stuff and still work exactly as it should ... while you run KDE 4!   I have no idea why the Arch devs decided to nuke it when it worked so well.  sad

Re: KNetworkManager

I pushed a build to AUR for working KNetworkManager.
