Ctrl-Alt-L not working

I'm using Gnome and I've check that the keyboard shortcut for the screensave is set to Ctrl-Alt-L (in fact the keys are being recorded properly as I reset it to that code by pressing Ctrl-Alt-L). However pressing Ctrl-Alt-L in gnome won't activate the screensaver (neither will other key combos, if setup in the shortcuts).

Does anyone have any idea how to debug this?

I'm running Gnome 2.22.3

Thanks
Russ

Do you have gnome-screensaver or xscreensaver installed?

Re: Ctrl-Alt-L not working

Gnome I think. There's no help about, I didn't install one separately to gnome and it has a power management button as well as close on the main dialog box.
