Xorg 1.5rc6 screws up urxvt in xmonad

I have the testing repository enabled and i have an nVidia card so i upgraded my xorg-server, but when I restarted X and opened up an instance of urxvt it came out all funny, it isn't tiled and it doesn't get focus, but i can type in it. Does anyone have an idea

i tried recompiling xmonad and urxvt but that didn't work.

Weird!  I have a 9800GT, 177.70 drivers, xmonad, urxvt, and the new xorg-server and mine's fine.  In fact, I just installed it on a second machine that doesn't have the beta driver (8400M card) and it works fine there, too.

I have installed the beta driver too and it still doesn't work. I have no idea what it can be. xterm works just fine, it's just urxvt that's screwed up..

x86_64 + 8800gt + 177.70 + 1.5RC6 + xmonad 0.7-1 +rxvt-unicode-256color 9.05-3

Can't say that I've noticed any new bugs with it.

Sure your problem isn't caused by the ghc update? Try recompiling your config, and see if you get a namespace error.

xmonad --recompile, gives no errors..

Lets try urxvt 256 color

That doesn't work either

I can't move it by the way. It is stuck on the screen... Changing termname also doesn't work

Remove borderless or something like that from your .Xdefaults

Re: Xorg 1.5rc6 screws up urxvt in xmonad

Is there a way to fix this while staying borderless?  I read through man urxvt but I didn't see anything to make it borderless.  Now that Xorg 1.5 is in extra, more people must be having this problem.  BTW, I'm using openbox if that makes any difference.

FWIW, people were saying they had similar problems with DWM today.

Set urxvt borderless through your WM. Certainly openbox can do it. Here's some discussion I had about this topic on the openbox mailing list:
