So, what kernel does people here use? Are there a lot of 2.4.x users still?
How many users would be left behind if Arch would move the nptl glibc to default? (http://archlinux.org/news.php#81)

Everybody should switch up 2.6 so we can have NPTL!

We're moving slowly to 2.6 for our production servers. We want to test and make sure our entire software stack runs correctly under 2.6 (so more than just the kernel).
So hopefully, 2.4 will be maintained for a while longer (probably through the rest of this year). I would hate to have to switch distros or just not upgrade anymore because 2.4 is no longer maintained.....
