[SOLVED] Wifi stops working; now it won't connect

So I've had my wireless working with the b43 module for a while now, and every once in a while it just stops. Now this is fine, as a "ifconfig wlan0 up" "iwconfig wlan0 essid linksys" and "dhcpcd wlan0" put it right back up. However, this time, it doesn't. DHCPCD times out, and when I run iwconfig, it lists wlan0 as not associated with any AP's, and iwlist doesn't show -anything- when I scan. This is odd, as my wireless does infact work. I have no idea what's wrong, as my wireless is working on other devices, and it won't on my laptop. Any help?

Try running this:

iwconfig wlan0 ap any

Do that command after you run the iwconfig wlan0 essid linksys command.

Let me know if it helps!

Thanks a lot but no it doesn't do anything different when I run dhcpcd, as it still times out. Actually when I scan (iwlist scan), it comes up with no results. However, I'm sure there is one, as I can connect with other devices.

Sorry for the double post, but I got it working. I dunno how, but I ran that command when I did the if/w/config, and it worked for some reason. I'll mark it as solved, even though I don't understand.
