no mouse

Hello all, I recently purchased an sl500 thinkpad from lenovo which i think is great (despite the scratches on the lid  it arrived with...very poor) i'm having trouble with xorg.conf. can start x but no mouse action at all and no left/right buttons at all! can anyone please post their xorg.conf for a thinkpad. i've followed the wiki for thinkpad to no avail. works perfectly in xubuntu but copying the xorg.conf fron xubuntu to arch doesn't work! bummer.

Re: no mouse

See if using the xorg.conf generated by 'X -configure' works.

Re: no mouse

thanks for your reply neptuneK. tried that but it didn't work. handy command though for future reference. i've been using linux for nearly 10 years and never knew that one. i reckon it must be a problem with the kernel so i guess i'll rebuild it sans initrd. all in all impressed with arch and will eventually get all working. regards
