I'm using the Core CD. I can get up to /arch/setup and the problems begin at the first step: creating partitions. I have my HDD set up like this right now:
sda1 / 10gb
sda2 swap 4gb
sda3 /home 380gb
I obviously don't want to lose my /home partition... so I didn't touch that. I deleted the other 2 partitions and created new ones. Then I went to "write" and then "quit" as told in the official installation guide. Now, when I try to "Select filesystem Mountpoints" everything goes fine until it asks me if "would you like to create a filesystem on /dev/sda2?" I hit yes but then it tells me there was an error doing so :S Any ideas?
I think that when I hit "write" some error must happen because even though I supposedly deleted sda1 and recreated it, Ubuntu is still on it; I can perfectly boot back to it as if nothing had changed... Well, nothing has changed obviosly, that's the problem lol
Also, just out of curiosity, I went into the "Select Packages" menu, and it told me that "error: problem setting dbpath '/mnt//var/lib/pacman' (could not find or read directoy)" :S!
Hope you can help, I'd really appreciate since I truly want to give what seems to be a great distro a try. Thanks in advance, all help is appreciated:)
