Just installed audacious using pacman (pacman -S audacious), but upon start I haven't found any sound engines in it's preferences (no ALSA, no OSS or PulseAudio), thus causing the player not to be able to play any sound That's weird because the support for at least ALSA should be present 'out of box'.
Anyway, please advise how do I turn ALSA support on in Audacious. What package should be installed?
Thanks in advance!

Does make installing audacious without any plugins any sense? Should not audacious-plugins be a dep to the audacious package?
The time when Microsoft starts making something that doesn't suck will be when they start making vacuum cleaners.

I second that. I found it strange that I had to install the plugins separately to make Audacious work (plus, I had to look up this thread to find out why Audacious wasn't working).
