Tabs in Nautilus ?

I've just read this article:

What's Coming in Ubuntu 8.10?

Have the Ubuntu guys added the tabs to nautilus or was it done upstream ? Either way, it was about time!

OK, what about the encrypted ~/Private folder? Is it easy to do in Arch? If so, where should I begin my research?
