Arch Failed

I don't remmember when i had so many problems with arch, when few days earlier i tryed to install it.
First, after i installed kde4 it failed to start up.
kdeinit4 failed to lunch, check your instalation. Hmm, after looking more deeply, found out that libxml2.so.2 or libxml.so.2 has failed. Doesn't seem to be binary. Well, grabed PKGBUILD from svn Rev 9277 not the head, rebuilded, kde start ups fine.
Secondly, kio slaves, specialy kio_http failed. Reinstalled kdelibs, same thing, updated to kde4.2, same thing. Have totaly no clue where is problem.
Third, after updated kernel to latest, fglrx failed. If i start X with fglrx driver, my network driver seems start failing, if i start X with vesa, everything's fine. Downgraded kernel, reinstalled fglrx, everything fine.

If you have any clue what to do with kio_http, let me now.

Re: Arch Failed

you know, I have this fantastic contraption at home:
it's a searchlight with a stylized symbol of an arch attached to the light.
I turn it on and all the arch developers come straight to my apartment to fix my issues, so that I never have any problems.
The only downside is that keeping the devs well fed and supplying the searchlight with electricity is really quite expensive, but, you know, you get what you pay for.

On a serious note, you should really provide more information.
I am using both kde4 (kdemod) and fglrx and I didn't experience any problem.
Maybe you are the problem, or maybe you just discovered a bug which could make the complete kde project crumble; there is no way to tell, unless you provide more information in different threads for different problems.
You might also think about filing some bugs report on arch's flyspray or kde's system, that is if you really think your problem is everyone's problem.

Hope this helps
