Kernel dev

Hello everyone,

I apologize if I posted this on the wrong section but my question is regarding Kernel Development.  I'm hoping to get to know more by basically be part of the Linux Kernel Janitor Project using git to pull down the latest and greatest kernel and just play or fix it.

Now my question is if I can use archlinux for that?  Or it doesn't matter what distro I'm using?

Re: Kernel dev

The distro shouldn't matter too much - some are better oriented toward building from source than others (such as Arch vs. Ubuntu), but any choice should work.  One thing I really like about Arch's PKGBUILDs is that they will automatically update themselves to the latest git revision each time you rebuild them.
