Does anyone have any word or an ETA on Alsa support for Soundblaster X-fi series cards?
The driver that Creative supplied doesn't compile, or even recognize a card in the system
for that matter. I wish comapanies like Creative would realize that Linux isn't going away and
deserves the same amount of support as Winblows gets. It's quite annoying, really.

Do you have an X-Fi Elite? If you do... how handy is that desk thingy? It looks interesting from here, but is it all that useful?
Also, if this has been solved, edit your original post and change the subject

Windows was made for looking at success from a distance through a wall of oversimplicity. Linux removes the wall, so you can just walk up to success and make it your own.

I have an X-fi Titanium Fatal1ty. I guess I'll give the OSS4 option a try....

Can't seem to get the card recognized...even with OSS4 installed. This sucks.

Thanks for the info. I read there that it doesn't yet support digital coax out.
I'm just going to wait for ALSA drivers to come out and use my on-board sound
in arch for now.

'ossinfo' doesn't recognize it?
