Getting Evolution to play sounds

No matter what I do with the Mail Notification plugin, I can't get Evolution to play a sound when I get a new mail. It worked fine for Thunderbird. Others seems to be able to play sounds just fine with a .wav file as well. Is there some sort of extra decoder that I have to install? Is there a size limit for the music file to be played?

See if ~/.xsession-errors provides some hints, or try installing some gstreamer packages. Evolution is from Gnome and they generally use gstreamer for multimedia stuff.
