texlive documentation

Where is it gone? Previously texlive was packaged in community and there was a separate package (since it  is very big it makes indeed sense to package it separately). But it seems to have disappeared now.

@skottish Yeah I've read this post which speak about license and the conclusion was that it was sufficient to make a pointer to the texlive website. But my problem is not a license problem. Really arch has a problem with documentation. ..

Here's a possible suggestion then. Get a hold of Firmicus. His contact info is listed with his Arch user information. Ask him for his former documentation PKGBUILD files and get advice on what needs to be done with the changes in TeXLive 2008. Modify the PKGBUILDs and upload to them AUR. Then everyone who wants the documentation locally can have it.

No, that was not the conclusion. Read on.

The docs will go to community where I will maintain them. Please be patient.
