Sometimes, the forum seems extremely slow from my end. It'll hang at "Waiting for bbs.archlinux.org..." for 6-15 seconds (tops), while it usually flashes to that state for less than a second.
And twice (!!!), Firefox has gotten STUCK on "Connecting to bbs.archlinux.org..."! I've had to "help" by repeatedly ESCing and CTRL+Ring the connection. No, it isn't my link as far as I can see - other sites (presumably) work just great even when the Arch site is down. IRC at least doesn't drop out.
I'm over in Australia, using BigPond for ISP service (which might change soon), in case that helps.

Windows was made for looking at success from a distance through a wall of oversimplicity. Linux removes the wall, so you can just walk up to success and make it your own.

I noticed that too but today it seems nice and snappy. I use a different provider so that does not seem to be the issue.

Every few minutes, I get a huge lag here too.

Yeah, same for me; the forums are usually snappy, but every fifteen clicks or so the page won't load. Sometimes it'll go through after a little while, other times I have to hit the back button and click the link again.

There are cron jobs with pretty significant IO that run at periodic intervals.
I think it runs every 5 mins, with the 30 min offset beaing the biggest IO peak (could be an overlap of another io intensive cron).
At least..that is what it used to be...
The io spikes could be causing some site slowdown I guess.
