You need to recompile the kernel applying this patch.
Get the official PKGBUILD and add that patch somewhere before the start of the build process...

thanks, i know about recompiling the kernel. I just don't know how to save the patch and have the pkgbuild interpretate it.

I state it in PKGBUILD, then what? Other patches I've seen are in .tar.gz.
