Red Channel suddenly disappeared in videos

so all my movies are played without it
I tried to follow http://www.mikesplanet.net/2007/05/im-so-blue/ but cannot find gstreamer-properties at all in my system
what am I missing and why it was ok days ago ?
any idea guys ?

This is what i did.
Open up totem, the "edit menu">preferences>display and pull the "hue" down to minimum.

btw, the article states that this is a bug with gstreamer and ATI. Thats not completely true, since i've got a nvidia 8600 gt.

ha ha ha, it works now - I did nothing ;-)
ok, I finally put in gstreamer-properties: "X Window system" and device "nv17"
and I tried before: mplayer, smplayer, xine, xfmedia - all same problem
now all work ok
and I have nvidia 8600m gt
I don't think all these players use gstreamer by the way

What you describe is true for me too.
So, by doing this simple modification in totem, every media player on the system reacts to that change (wich was a pleasant suprise btw), and i can now enjoy the colors as they should be!
