Hi, I used to only have a couple kdelibs installed for a couple programs (eg amarok). Now I've decided to install kdemod (even though I actually only want a few kde programs, my windowmanager will still remain fluxbox) and to cut a long story short:
I installed kdemod3
Now I want to install amarok: pacman -S amarok-base
but that pulls in kdelibs3 (3.5.10), a dependency that should be satisfied by kdemod-kdelibs (3.5.9).
What am I missing, how do I get amarok to run on kdemod?

amarok-base is kde3 version of amarok, for amarok2 search for amarok2
If it ain't broke, broke it then fix it.

You have to use the kdemod version of amarok.
pacman -Ss amarok
should give you something like kdemod3-amarok or something like that.

Actually there is no kdemod3 version of amarok, so you can to grab amarok-engine-xine PKGBUILD, change the dependencies and build it. But as i'm looking at dependencies, it requires kdelibs3>=3.5.7, which should be met by kdemod3.
