I've just installed Arch 2008 and one of the things I was anxious to get working was my Terratec Cinergy DT USB XS Diversity adaptor, so I could watch Freeview TV here in the UK.
I have the adaptor working fine with another PC running Linux Mint - all I did was plug it in, launch Kaffeine and scan for channels, but in Arch there's a bit more work to be done.
Here's how I got it working.
First, you need the firmware for the adaptor: dvb-usb-dib0700-1.10.fw.
I got it from here: http://www.wi-bw.tfh-wildau.de/~pboettc … 00-1.10.fw
Then you need to launch a terminal and, as root, copy the firmware file into /lib/firmware
Then, still in a terminal, do:
modprobe dvb_usb_dib0700
modprobe mt2266
Then restart your machine and, once you launch Kaffeine, you will find the TV adaptor working and you're able to scan for channels.
Hope this helps someone. ![]()

If you have the newer version (0081), like me, you need to patch the kernel.
I also use the 1.20 firmware with a symlink.
