Hello everyone.
A few days ago I downloaded arch img from some of the mirrors. I set it on a usb flash memory stick as it is said in the wiki (using dd command). The flash drive was 4GB, and then it become 140MB, because I downloaded the ftp install. I tryed to format the the flash memory using mkfs, but I am still seeing the flash as 140MB. What should I do to be able to use all the space (4GB) on the flash?
Regards.

What is the output of fdisk -l? It is possible that the rest is free space or part of another partition in the flash drive.
The difference makes the difference.

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdb1 * 1 33 149778+ b W95 FAT32
Partition 1 has different physical/logical beginnings (non-Linux?):
phys=(0, 1, 1) logical=(0, 1, 9)
Partition 1 has different physical/logical endings:
phys=(18, 165, 55) logical=(32, 135, 35)
This is fdisk -l. It is W95 FAT32, because a friend of mine tryed to format the flash drive under MS Windows XP.

I guess the rest is free space. Try creating a partition:
fdisk /dev/sdbThe difference makes the difference.
