(SOHO) secutiry layouts

Hi,

I suggest a discussion about conceptions and means of running reasonably secure SOHO network. Of course, there's a lot of buzzwords, and therein lies the problem. I'd like to end up with a short list of security issues to be addressed and a toolbox to do so,  The tools to be rated according to their importance (indispensable, useful, etc.) and ease of use.
