rc.conf modules

Hi,

I accidently/stupidly deleted rc.conf, I have since repaired it and got everything back to normal, but my modules list in rc.conf is empty, everything still works fine, but before i had loads of sound stuff in there for example.

Should i worry about this? Is there anyway i can generate a list of which modules should be in there?

Thanks,
Jack

Re: rc.conf modules

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Hwdetect

 For /etc/rc.conf use:
   --net show network MODULES
   --modules show all detected MODULES

That should give you an idea

Re: rc.conf modules

Those are daemons.. for your hardware modules, hwdetect is probably what you used during installation, so it should restore the same modules you had before.

Re: rc.conf modules

Thanks guys, hwdetect did the job, it listed a fair few more that i previously had but ive put them in anyway and everything is fine. I assume it was working anyway because MOD_AUTOLOAD was turned on.
