Installing from ftp iso, booted from hdd.

Hi

I am trying to install Archlinux from the ftp iso CD image, but I have no CD so I want to boot it and install it form my HDD. I followed the wiki, and I booted the installation from my hard drive, but the following error appeared:

...
:: Scanning for boot cdrom device:
Failed to mount /dev/cd/cdrom-dr0
Failed to mount /dev/cd/cdrw-dr0
Failed to mount /dev/cd/dvd-dr0
ERROR: Connot find booted cdrom device, cannot continue...
Kernel panic: not syncing: Attemting to kill init

What can I do to solve the problem and install Archlinux from HDD. I tried with i686 and x86_64 CDs, but no luck. I am using grub.

Regards.

Re: Installing from ftp iso, booted from hdd.

Try following the complete guide; http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … ting_Linux

It shouldn;t be running the cdrom hook...
