Qt4 Designer refuse to start.

Hi all,
I have very strange problem - Qt4 Designer won't start unless I'm not online -i.e. plug off the lan cable. I'm using GNOME as primary DE and Network Manager. Few weeks ago Designer works, after some updates it starts or not at random, now it refuse to start at all.
There is no messages, absolutely nothing when I try to start it in terminal - just sleeps.
Does anybody have the same problem.

edit: Qt4 version - 4.4.2-3, qt theme - by default - plastique. No KDE libs at all.

Regards

Re: Qt4 Designer refuse to start.

Hi,
I had the same problem. Running strace revealed that the qt designer tried to connect to the print server which I had configured in CUPS. So simply stopping CUPS has solved the problem for me. The question is now why does QT designer rely on a connection the print server??? WTF?

I hope this can help someone...
