can only use rhythmbox as root

i have instaled rhythmbox, when i try to play any file i get an error saying

 Could not open resource for writing.

when i run as root, rhyhmbox runs perfectly fiine

any help?

i completly new to arch, how do i add a user to a group?

edit: never mind, found how to do it,

# gpasswd -a username audio
