one half of the cpu is working, usually

Hi guys

my dual core is working only halfway. For example, I was just checking glxgears and I noticed that while one part of the cpu was at 100%, the other was at 1%

do you have any idea of what might be going wrong?

Nothing's wrong, really, it's just a lot of applications are written to only take advantage of one core at a time.  glxgears is one of those programs.  Now, if you had a couple of CPU-heavy applications running, you'd see both cores working.
