Hey everyone.
GIMP and Inkscape have their place, but I prefer the "editing style" of MS Paint when it comes to simple editing. It's just great. Kolourpaint captures that "style" and does add a few new features, but gradient support isn't one of them. Well, if you drag a selection out so it's really long Kolourpaint will smooth it out for you and use gradients to do so, but that's not what I mean. I mean I actually want official gradient creation support in an editor like or similar to Kolourpaint in its behavior.
Does something like this exist?

!!! it can do gradients? ![]()
I actually have it installed, but haven't done more than poke at it a bit and complain that it somehow made its way into my mimetype specifications. Time to give it a serious once-over, then.

Pinta also has a button for creating gradients. As for the user interface, if you remove the panels on the right side of the window then it looks and feels very similar to Microsoft Paint.

Cool, I'll check it out ![]()
