I just downloaded conky on my arch setup using pacman -S conky.. but when I try:
$ nano ~/.conkyrc ... it just gives me a blank file.. do I need to do somehting after downloading conky?

there are also a lot of configs here in the forum so just take the one you like best and edit it to your needs.

There's a default config in the /etc/xdg/conky folder.
I added it to the wiki.

>< Its giving me more problems.. Im trying to place the conkylink file in ~/.kde/share/autostart/conkylink by using ln -s /usr/bin/conky ~/.... blah blah blah. But it says theres no such file or directory
Edit: Ok ive done some research... apparantly there is no KDE autostart directory in my arch install (im using KDEmod for my DE) .. do I need to create this directory? and if so how? mkdir wont let me.

Im using kdemod 4.1.. but theres no directory for it in my home folder.. home is empty.. Ive tried using mkdir but it doesnt work either says theres no file or folder.. which makes no sense since mi trying to MAKE it >_>
