I'd like to give Clutter a bit of a spin, but am having issues whenever I try to compile one of the C++ demos found online.
First, I try to install the 'clutter' package then download the four files at this URL as a test sort of thing. A peek at the Makefile revealed that it was made two versions ago (how ironic, something in SVN is older than Arch's released package ), so once I fix that... oh, and fix the small issue where make tries to call gcc not g++... no go.
Can someone explain how I'm supposed to make this work? Clutter does have "language bindings for Perl, Python, C#, C++, Vala and Ruby..." so it's not like I'm short of choice, but I just want to get an idea of how the C++ bindings work to get started, then explore the other possibilities.

Windows was made for looking at success from a distance through a wall of oversimplicity. Linux removes the wall, so you can just walk up to success and make it your own.
