Custom kernel and iwl4965

I've compiled my own kernel and when I boot my machine with it I get an error that says the iwl4965 cannot be found (loaded).  Do I have to create my own iwl4965 package?  if so how do I do that?

Re: Custom kernel and iwl4965

Hmm. If you built the iwl4965 module into the kernel and also try to load the module (in rc.conf), it will say "cannot be found". Try typing lsmod | grep iwl4965 in a console and see if it already is loaded.

Re: Custom kernel and iwl4965

Doing the lsmod shows no output (it does show it there with the stock Arch Kernel).  When I was doing the menuconfig I was looking to build 4965 into the kernel as opposed to a module - but I can only find the 3945 device listed under network devices.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Custom kernel and iwl4965

From 2.6.24 on the IPW 4965 driver is provided with the kernel source.
