After kernel update, uvesafb doesn't load on system startup. Kernel says that it can't load uvesafb and to check dmesg.
$ dmesg | grep vesa
uvesafb: Unknown parameter `mode'
$ sudo modprobe uvesafb mode=1280x800-32
FATAL: Error inserting uvesafb (/lib/modules/2.6.27-ARCH/kernel/drivers/video/uvesafb.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

Take a look at your /etc/modprobe.d/uvesafb.pacnew. `mode' has changed to `mode_option'.

yup, merge the .pacnew and rerun mkinitcpio -p kernel26

Thanks to both. mode_option solved the problem.
