Translucent Conky

Hey all, is it possible to make conky translucent? I don't want it to be fully opaque or fully transparent - but somewhere in between. Is this possible? If so, how?

Re: Translucent Conky

You can't do this with conky alone, but if you set conky to use its own window it's possible with external tools. You'll need composite (so, xcompmgr if your wm doesn't do compositing) and transset-df. There are other possibilities, but this is the easiest that I know about. Just run 'transset-df -h' and it should be somewhat obvious what to do.

Re: Translucent Conky

Hmmm, but how would I put a tint to it?
