can't open any windows when i'm in root (su)

hi...
when i'm in my account then i need to open a window in su appears this message error:

#  konqueror .
No protocol specified
konqueror: cannot connect to X server :0.0

anyone can help me with this?

I am not sure I understood.
Do you log in as root, use su to become user and try to open a window or vice-versa you log in as user, use su to become root and try to open a window?

He's logging in as a user and then su'ing to root. Not sure as to the answer though.

Try

kdesu konqueror

as a regular user. I think this is what you want to achieve, right?

i want to logging as a user and then became root with su and open a window...

but i don't want do do kdesu konqueror (use konqueror like an example)...

i want to be able to open a window in root account in an time...

i try the command

xhost +

but i read that is no very good for security...
what i've to do?
