How can this be replicated in linux?

I wanted to make my desktop to look like this (the first screenshot with the orange wallpaper). This guy is using Windows. I'm thinking of using:

WM: Openbox
SysInfo: Conky

For the rest (panel, etc...) i can't figure out exactly what programs to use.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Is it just me or is that one a total waste of space?

What bugs me about those shots is the claim that there aren't any icons. Yes there are; he's just made them into abbreviations instead of pictures. Big deal. My desktop has no icons on it because... it doesn't have any icons on it.

Re: How can this be replicated in linux?

It can be replicated easily. I made it this afternoon. I'm going to post it in the OpenBox screen section smile

Of course it's not just you, it's also common sense smile

Also, this quote pyramid is ironically not a waste of space. Ahem.

Where is the tray? did he hide all the icons in tray? That makes the computer so much easier to use....
