After recent kernel update, i had a strange problem. When I play any audio/video, sound comes of the small speaker attached in the motherboard rather than from my speakers plugged in the onboard soundcard. AUmix shows only 2 thing that can be adjusted, "vol" and "spkr"
here is my sound card:
[shantanu@bluehead ~]$ lspci | grep -i audio
00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02)
I'm already in the audio group.
Can someone help pinpoint the problem and the probable solution.

THanks a lot sirocco for pointing that out.
For uninitiated, add "snd_pcsp" in mod_blacklist of /etc/rc.conf
MOD_BLACKLIST=(snd_pcsp)

For uninitiated, add "snd_pcsp" in mod_blacklist of /etc/rc.conf
but MOD_BLACKLIST deprecated, better add "!snd_pcsp" in MODULES.

True, after adding snd_pcsp to MOD_BLACKLIST, it worked after first reboot, but after second reboot, it was the same issue. Added !snd_pcsp in MODULES and its working again.
