System settings administrator mode

Opened login manager, read the help screen, which refers to a button 'administrator mode' for changing the settings in this screen.
No such button is displayed.
I started 'kdm' as root but still wound up in the user environment.

Any help here?

Re: System settings administrator mode

okay. try runnong control center as root. then change the kdm settings
best way todo this would be to open a konsole su into root then run control-centre (if thats the name for it)
i'm not on kde so the commands may not be 100%
