I have mozilla 1.7 and I installed the calendar XPI on it as root adn it worked as a user as well...
it was nice but I decided I don't want it anyome and "uninstalled" it like they said in the site :
Delete <appdir>/components/xpical.dll (on windows)
Delete <appdir>/components/libxpical.so (on linux)
when <appdir> will be : /opt/mozilla/lib/mozilla-1.7
now mozilla won't start neither as root nor user...
I removed mozilla and reinstalled it with pacman and it still doesn't work. I deleted all the mozilla directories from /root and it doesn't help...
anyone has any ideas?
what is moz saying when you start it from commandline like xterm or console?
it doesn't say anything....
it seems like it's running, I don't get an error or even a new line
if I do 'ps -A'
I can see running
but nothing happens...
I tried reinstalling the mozilla-common... but that didn't help as well...
for now I have firefox installed so I can browse... but all my mail was in mozilla...
well, I solved it the windows...errr...ugly way.
I uninstalled all the mozilla things I had, deleted all the leftover directories except the ones in /~ and had pacman reinstall everything...
took 3 minutes but it's still an annoying solution :?
But it worked and I have my trusty mozilla back.
Note to self, do not uninstall the calendar....
Thanks for the help morphus :-)
