I'd say that you are using a mirror that hasn't properly synced yet. Have you tried other mirrors?

Check out /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist. You'll find a whole file full of them ![]()
Find a mirror in that file that is close to you, and put it at the top of the file. Then retry your -Syu

ok guys. I added Server = ftp://ftp.hosteurope.de/mirror/ftp.arch … po/os/i686 and everything seems fine now. thanks!

You could also try powerpill... then it won't matter even if most of the mirrors don't have the file yet ![]()
