I've got two Arch boxes, and I just updated one of them this morning with a normal "pacman -Syu" -- the other I updated late last week. I noticed when I updated box "A" this morning that the kernel was listed in the update list, but I remembered that it was also there when I updated last week. Box "A" (updated this morning) is showing as 2.6.27.1-1 when I run a "pacman -Qs kernel" on this box, but it shows as 2.6.27-2 on box "B" updated last week.
I'm a little confused about the version numbering I see there. Which version is more current?
(I have core, extra, and community enabled, but haven't ever turned on testing, as far as repositories go.)
Thanks in advance. Both boxes work fine, so this is more a question from a curiosity standpoint, than anything else.

2.6.27-2 means second version of PKGBUILD of the 2.6.27 kernel.
2.6.27.1-1 means first version of PKGBUILD of the 2.6.27.1 kernel.
If you see on kernel.org now there is a 2.6.27.2 kernel version. In the last weeks kernel.org let out first a 2.6.27 kernel and after a 2.6.27.1 kernel with minus upgrades.

Thanks. That helps clear it up.
