EEE PC Install Problem

I am trying to install Arch for the first time on my eee 701, but I cant set mount points for my partitions. The installer lists the internal ssd and my sdhc card, but when I press ok the installer freezes stops working. I can still however exit the install by pressing ctrl+c. My eee is stock, with a 16gb sd card, and I have the ssd paritioned in the following way:

partition #1 - 8mb for grub
partition #2 - 1.22gb for windows xp
partition #3 - 2.5gb for arch

I have tested both the default boot & the legacy ide with same results
I had to change the bios os setup setting to install rather than finished as I was getting a kernel panic mid way through booting the install cd

any ideas will be much appreciated.

Re: EEE PC Install Problem

On a guess, I'd say your install CD is bad. Are you following the wiki for your installation?
