I've kinda been missing this a long time, so I figured that it might actually exist although I've never come across it. In order to manipulate windows with stuff like openbox and wmctrl you need to identify the window in question, using some properties like name or class. My question is: Does anyone know if there is a way to modify these properties at the time of launching the window - supposedly using some wrapper command or other? I know it's a bit farfetched but it would make it nice and easy to identify, say a particular instance of a file manager, browser etc.
