First of all, sorry for my english, but isn't my native language.
Hi everyone, i'm from Chile (Latin America), and i want to create a new archlinux community in my country, why?, because i don't see anithing about arch in web or another system in my country.
For that, i think, thath i need some authorization from the arch oficial community to create and use the arch site template (wiki, forum and others) to create a web site www.archlinux-cl.cl, what i need?? some money to pay the host and the domain, and more?????
If you can tell me something or with who i can talk ....
ap!!! i'm a GNU/Linux user for years and arch user about 1 year and i love it...
Thanks!!!

Here are just some thought about this. For example I created archlinux.de not only for German people but for people who speak German. We have visitors from Austria and Switzerland, too.
If I am right you speak Spanish in Chile? If there isn't one yet it might be an idea to set up a Spanish speaking community instead.
All I wanted to say that it's about the language and not the place where you live. :-)

There seems to be a Spanish community in www.archlinux-es.org and they even have a forum in http://www.archlinux-es.org/foros/ .

There is a Spanish community already: http://archlinux-es.org/
There is also one in Brazil (Portuguese I think): http://www.archlinux-br.org/
However, there is nothing stopping you from setting up your own community for Chile. You may also be interested in working together with them.
As far as what you need, you need to register your domain locally and you need hosting. You can base your site on the Arch site or you can start from scratch using whatever forum, wiki, etc projects you like.
If you want to use the archweb code, your host needs to support python and django. If you want to use the same forum and wiki software, it also needs to support PHP.
As far as permission to use the code and logo, I would explicitly e-mail Aaron to obtain permission, but I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem.
You could also post in the 'other languages' forum on this board to see if anyone is interested in helping.

[]A word of apology: please, 'moderator force' (yeah, I'm talking at you ´mr. moderator`
). Please forgive me for redacting the rest of the post in spanish, but it seems my chilean partner has serious issues with english. Thanks for your patience. ^_^!!
ja man.
Saludos.

They say that if you play a Win cd backward you hear satanic messages. That's nothing! 'cause if you play it forwards, it installs windows.
