libgailutil and gdm

Hi out there,

i have a little problem after an update.

i installed yesterday some updates and now if im trying to start, my gdm startup screen freezes.

so i disabled gdm at startup and try to start manually via "startx" and then i get the following.

gnome-session: error while loading shared libraries: libgailutil.so18: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

right now i dont know really what to do.

Is there any hint u can give me?

thanks

Re: libgailutil and gdm

Hi,

[tomage@zorglub-arch ~]$ LANG=C pacman -Qo /usr/lib/libgailutil.so.18
/usr/lib/libgailutil.so.18 is owned by gtk2 2.14.4-1

Maybe you could try to reinstall gtk2 package ?

Re: libgailutil and gdm

Looks like pacman still has problems moving files from one package to another. Gail was replaced by gtk2, but pacman deleted the files when it removed gail.
