Just installed openbox, but now I need a panel.. i saw a couple on the wiki but I want to know which is the best to use? I want one similar to the one in Fluxbox, but if there are ones better then let me know

Re: openbox and panels

The one "which is best to use" entirely depends on what you want from a panel. Just try them all to find the one that suits you best.

Re: openbox and panels

The "best" is just an opinion, it's whatever works for you. Pypanel is quite common, but all of the others listed at the wiki may be considered just as good--if they suit your needs.

Re: openbox and panels

Try looking through the openbox screenshots thread... most people will list which panel they're using and the configs for it... give you a better idea of what they look like and are capable of doing.
