X-fi Titanium Support

Hi,

i've got a problem with my soundcard.
The soundcard doesn't work.

OSSinfo shows

Number of audio devices: 0
Number of audio engines: 0
Number of mixer devices: 0

Device objects
0: osscore0 OSS core services
1: oss_sbxfi0 Sound Blaster X-Fi interrupts=0 (3369)
PCI device 1102:000b, subdevice 1102:0041
2: oss_usb0 USB audio core services

When i set the module oss_sbxfi0 in rc.conf, it shows me i can't be found.

I've installed OSS4xxx

I read somethin that the alsa developers work on a driver but i don't want to wait if there's a way to use it with wie OSS.

Can somebody help me?

Re: X-fi Titanium Support

The correct way to start OSS is adding "oss" to the DAEMONS array in rc.conf, and not to specify any modules (like oss_sbxfi0) in the MODULES array.

Did you tried to setup it by only adding "oss" to the DAEMONS array? (without specifying the module in the MODULES array)

I don't know too much about X-Fi, but it looks like your card is supported: http://mercurial.opensound.com/?file/76 … i/.devices
