Hi, I did a fresh install of arch using gnome as my DE. Everything was going smoothly the first couple of days, but now everything seems to lag. if I click on a menu, it takes one second until it pops up. If I start typing something, a few letters would come out and then it pauses for a second before the rest of the letters that I typed come up. But, this only happens when I first start typing. It pauses right at the beginning, but then it doesnt do it again as long as I keep typing and dont do anything else (such as load an app, or switch windows). I made sure my host name was in /etc/hosts. I have compiz installed and have an nvidia 8400 graphics cards. Anybody know what the deal is?
